Celebrating Dr. Megan Powers’ Recognition by the Medical Society of Virginia Foundation

We are proud to share that our own Dr. Megan Powers has been recognized by the Medical Society of Virginia (MSV) Foundation as one of seven physicians honored with a 2025 Salute to Service Award. Dr. Powers received the award in the category of Service by a Medical Student or Resident, recognizing her exceptional commitment to patient care, community service, and leadership during her medical training.

The Salute to Service Awards, presented annually by the MSV Foundation, honor physicians, residents, and medical students across Virginia who exemplify service to patients, the profession, and the broader community. Dr. Powers was honored during the MSV Foundation’s Physicians Gala in Richmond, alongside other distinguished physicians from across the Commonwealth.

As an Emergency Medicine resident, Dr. Powers has consistently demonstrated a deep dedication to serving patients in high-acuity settings while also contributing meaningfully beyond the bedside. Her work reflects a strong commitment to compassionate care, teamwork, and advocacy for patients during some of their most vulnerable moments. This recognition highlights not only her clinical excellence, but also her drive to make a lasting, positive impact on the communities she serves.
